Peri Peri

At its heart, Peri Peri (also known as Piri Piri or Pili Pili) is the Swahili name for the African Bird’s Eye Chili. While the pepper itself is indigenous to Africa, the sauce is a beautiful historical accident—a fusion of African ingredients and Portuguese flair.
