Mighty Taco is a legendary fast-food institution based in Buffalo, New York. Founded in 1973 by Dan Sacha, James "Jim" Sacha, and Bruce Sacha, it has grown from a single storefront on Hertel Avenue into a cultural icon of the Western New York region. What makes Mighty Taco sauces unique is their smooth, consistency and heavy spice-forward (rather than heat-forward) approach. They are often described as having a "deeply savory, taco-truck" vibe that focuses on the aromatics of the Southwestern spice rack. Mighty Taco sauces don't try to be "authentic Mexican." They represent a very specific 1970s-era "Americanized" taco style that is heavy on chili powder, cumin, and garlic.
