Wenzel’s Hot Sauce is a cult-classic condiment with deep roots in the collegiate tradition of Yale University.Named after the "Wenzel" sandwich—a legendary late-night staple created at the Alpha Delta Pizza shop in New Haven, Connecticut—the sauce was originally the "secret" ingredient that turned breaded chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and mayo into a campus icon.Today, Wenzel’s has expanded beyond New Haven, bottling its signature spicy-tangy flavor for a national audience of "Wenzel-heads."
